Reports to: Shift Manager.

Job Role: Plan, monitor and evaluate factory operations and maintain high levels of production and standards in line with the Business Plan, relevant policies, national and international standards

 Qualification and Experience:

  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education
  • Minimum of one-year experience in a work-related environment

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene
  • Inventory management
  • Interpersonal and communication skills

Job description

  1. Supervise the processing of tea ensuring the quality standards and guidelines set by the Company
  2. Manage receipt, reclassification and storage of purchased green leaf
  3. Supervise processing operations and ensure adherence to quality specifications
  4. Supervise and appraise the performance of workers, development, welfare and benefits in line with HR policies
  5. Document and maintain up-to-date records of the processing section
  6. Maintain discipline of works and address grievances
  7. Prepare and supervise the cleaning of the operating environment, ensure that workers are in full protective gear and maintain the general hygiene
  8. Inspect areas of operation and ensure workers comply with the established procedures and standards
  9. Plan, Prepare and supervise the loading of processed tea ensure the sealing of containers is done and verified in line with the relevant procedures
  10. Any other duty as allocated by your supervisor
