Duty Station:  Mpanga Tea Factory

Job Role: Monitor, operate and maintain the boiler in good mechanical condition, and ensure that required steam is generated for the drier in line with the production needs and schedules

Job description

1. Monitor and maintain optimal water levels of the boiler and in the water tank in line with company standards
2. Maintain optimal inventory of fire wood and ensure that the logs are split in the right sizes for feeding into the boiler
3. Operate the Boiler and generate the required steam to the drier in line with production needs
4. Monitor the boiler conditions and Maintain the boiler in a good working mechanical condition
5. Document and maintain up-to-date records of the Boiler in line with the company policies and guidelines

Person specification

Qualification and Experience:

• Uganda Certificate of Education
• Minimum of one-year experience in a work-related environment preferably a Factory

 Knowledge of; 

• Boiler operation and maintenance
• Water meter and gauge reading

Skills and Abilities:

• Communication skills
• Record keeping
